No tournament in a long time, so let's have a huge as shit one to compensate. SATURDAY NIGHT IN WITH #mahjong.

The system: knockout tournament with a L7447 ultimate showdown of the 4 best players
What you do:
Okay, registration is now closed. The entrants are listed below for reference (IRC names in brackets). Regrettably, #33 <:3c will have to play as a reserve player. As is the case, some people won't turn up, so you should be able to play anyway.
Image posted is what you should look at. These are the match ups for round 1. The tournament will be a standard knockout system, and 1st/2nd from every game will advance to the next round until the final. Note which lobby you're in and who you're playing with so you can coordinate on IRC.
Once a round is completed, I will post the match ups for the following one until we get to the final. This is standard procedure. The post will go here and I'll link it on IRC a few times, so keep a look out.

Imagine that prior to this turn, you Reach with this hand. You're Furiten, but you have a three way wait so maybe you'll get lucky. However, after you declare your Reach, it hangs up on another player's turn and you find out that you have to reconnect.
When you log back in, you see this image.
What do you do?

Mouse was over the player counts, which show the difference instead of point totals.

In my crazy Australian timezone here so I don't anticipate the time will be convenient. I recently got the game though and have been looking for an opportunity to actually try it.

First 100 games on Tenhou. Not great, but in my defense I've been playing on Tenhou for less than two weeks, and riichi mahjong in general for less than three.
Shit stats after 100 4p games, but unlike Arekusandaa I don't have anything to prove why I am so shitty.

The game is played against 3 computer players. It is a good site to practice and gain a working knowledge of the rules for japanese mahjong. I think it is a good resource for those learning the game and needing practical experience. There is no waiting for a free slot and the site is always up.
